DAY 10 · DINNER
Lean Beef Mince & Sweet Potato Hash
Lean Beef Mince with sweet potato and gentle vegetables — a hearty dinner.
Dinner· 34 min total· 5 ingredients
Ingredients
- 110 g lean beef mince
- 140 g sweet potato
- 60 g mixed carrot and cabbage
- raw carrot
- Fresh water for cooking
Portion & storage
These amounts make roughly one day of food for a ~10 kg adult dog, split across the day. As a rough guide feed 2–3% of body weight daily: a 3 kg dog ≈ 60–90 g, a 20 kg dog ≈ 300–450 g, a 30 kg dog ≈ 450–650 g. Puppies, working, pregnant or underweight dogs need more; seniors and low-activity dogs need less. Introduce any new recipe over 5–7 days, mixed into the current food. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight box and use within 2 days; serve at room temperature.
Method
- 1
Peel and boil 140 g sweet potato for 15 minutes until fork-soft, then mash.
- 2
Brown the beef mince in a dry non-stick pan for 8–10 minutes, then tip off any melted fat.
- 3
Steam 60 g total of chopped carrot and cabbage for 6–9 minutes until just tender.
- 4
Let everything cool to room temperature, then fold the lean beef mince, sweet potato and vegetables together.
- 5
Top with 1 tbsp raw grated carrot for a little crunch.
- 6
Serve at room temperature. Store any extra in the fridge and use within 2 days.

These are recipe ideas, not a complete daily diet plan. Every dog has different nutritional needs based on age, size, weight, breed and overall health. Use these to add variety and inspiration — introduce anything new slowly over 5–7 days, and talk to your veterinarian before making major changes, especially for puppies, seniors, pregnant dogs, or dogs with allergies or medical conditions. Never feed onion, garlic, chives, leek, grapes, raisins, chocolate, caffeine, xylitol, macadamia nuts, or cooked bones.
